DAILY PUMP

Been a bit quiet on the pump front recently but were back with a sweet little video from the guys at KanyFilms with some footage of the Nor-Cal Fuzion D2 team.

Me and Al have had our eyes on the Fuzion camp for a bit now and they seem to be doing things right when it comes to pushing their plays to the next level. Shame they missed out on a spot in the PSP Challengers division, but I'm sure with the effort they're putting in, they should be pushing for a spot for the 2014 season.

This is only their D2 teams Dallas highlights and the D1 teams vid should be dropping soon. Pretty sure that'll get a DailyPump spot too!

GFH DALLAS PSP MVP.

That was a mouthful!!

So the poll is closed and no surprise, our favourite Dynasty OG Ryan Greenspan came out on top.

There were other ballers in the mix who kicked some serious asses in the first PSP event of 2013. Tyler Harmon with his airborne flying ninja skills, J Rab with his badass balling up the field and Spicka with his fresh snake game for the kids in blue all showed huge potential and gave us a look into just how exciting this season is gonna be.

So, mister Greenspan (who was also my choice) we tip our caps to you, shake you by the hand and kiss the ground you walk on.

NPPL Huntington Beach is gonna be a riot!

Thanks to everyone that took part in the poll. We'll have an NPPL Huntington Beach one up later today.

DAILY PUMP

Wait..What?!? We just did one? Well I'm afraid this bad boy just dropped and I've been waiting for it since the Dallas PSP. I could see from the webcast that Cassidy Sanders was right in there getting some sweet footage, and boy has he done a top job of putting it all together.

The HK army vids are some of the best out there and they've really gone to town on this one. Might have something to do with the fact that their main team, Dynasty, owned the event! Have a look and if you like it stick a comment under it and we'll love ya forever!

DAILY PUMP

Sick of everything all about the pro's? Fancy something from the lower divisions to float your boat. Today's pump is from the Dallas div 3 final featuring the Dallas Jets on their home turf battling it out against the dudes on Syndicate. My money is on Syndicate, but only cos I think they have the best playing tops in paintball!

The vid is just raw footage courtesy of the guys over at Social again. Can't beat just watching two teams go at it and bust each other up for all the gold and glory.

DAILY PUMP

Today's pump is Derders new Dallas Friday headshot. To be honest I was a bit disappointed with it. Footage and player interviews are as good as always, but it's being let down badly by the commentary! Usually Derder Robs dry but funny commentary cracks me up, but the guy doing this one sounds like he's gonna take a nap halfway through! Not what you need to get the audience into it.

Give it a watch anyway cos the rest of it is sweet like the Derder crew normally do. Action packed moves and good game coverage.

DAILY PUMP

So the boys of Upton 187 Crew didn't do too well at Dallas, but it still doesn't stop them being one hell of an entertaining team! They've always been one of my favorites cos everybody loves an underdog, plus they tend to leave it all on the line. They push like crazy and that to me is good entertaining balling!

Here's Social paintballs latest vid covering 187 at Dallas and damn they make them look pretty good. Not too sure on this season new colours, compared to last years 187 jerseys, but I guess that's personal taste. Anyway check it out ...

DAILY PUMP

Well, I guess YouTube is still here so it musta been an April fool ;) Good thing is the DailyPump continues!

How about some raw Dallas PSP footage of two of the higher ranked teams. Courtesy of the guys over at Social Paintball who bring us the semi final game between Damage and Impact. This was their second meeting of the tournament. During the first match Damage got the best of them, but lets see if Impact can even the record.....

DAILY PUMP

Some more footage form the 2013 Dallas PSP event (just cos it never gets boring), but this time courtesy of they guys at HDBROStv. These guys have turned out a few good vids and they keep getting better.

This one features all your favorite pro teams battling it out and some slick slow-mo footage which we all love. Special shout out goes to Tyler Harmon's one handed gangsta bunkering to face plant at about the 2 min mark. Crazy crazy move!

DAILY PUMP

The last DailyPump was Spantastik Medias take on day 1&2 of Dallas, and now they're already bringing us day 3&4. SWEET!!

More of the same really, some good D1 and Pro footage plus again they called in the UAV for the best aerial footage I've seen. Well done Spantastik. Taking ballin vids to a new level....A much higher level!

I CAN'T ALWAYS BE RIGHT!

So rumour has it that the last Challengers team isn't in fact going to Oakland Fuzion who my money was on, but instead is allegedly going to be...... San Jose Royalty.

Fair enough I suppose as they are coached by the legend that is Shane Pestana and from the looks of their latest practice vid on YouTube, can hang with the big dogs.

This isn't fully confirmed yet so Fuzion could still be in with a shout. If they are out then good luck to Royalty and I'm sure Fuzion will get their shot sooner or later.

CHALLENGERS (ALMOST) READY

Next up to join the challengers ranks is Dave Bains little project team Sacramento DMG. These dudes have only been around since the start of the 2012 season and already they've proven to be a force!

In their first year they already won the MAO and then last month took the title at Dallas. With Dave Bains as owner and coach and a pretty strong roster, these are probably the favorites to give the pro teams their biggest fright. Good luck DMG.

DAILY PUMP

Probably one of the trickest paintball vids out there at the minute. This new video by the guys over at Spantastik Media takes camera angles to a whole new level. All that was missing was some one saying 'UAV is online' at the start!

Sloan, J-Dawg and Span show off the footage they got from day 1 & 2 including the aerial stuff over the Div 1 field.

March 27, 2013

CHALLENGE ACCEPTED.

Well the first of the new five official PSP Challengers team has been announced today! And, it's...... T1 Topgun Union. Guess no one saw that coming seeing as they finished last year ranked 1st in the div 1 league. But hey, at least we know the first team for sure now.

Topgun played some good ball at Cup but didn't manage a win in Dallas. Still, they didn't go into a flat spin this time and lose Goose.... Guess we all knew that was coming sooner or later.

Anyway good luck this year Topgun. Sure they're gonna put the willies up some of the ex top tier teams who've been forced down to the challengers division.

Who else do you think deserves a shot? Texas Storm maybe? What about new Div 1 team Fuzion who placed 4th at Dallas. Bet their new blood and hunger would be good to watch. Let us know with a comment or hit us up on twitter @gfhpropaganda

DAILY PUMP

After yesterdays slow-mo fest, today is just some straight up PSP Dallas action. It's from the guys over at Derder who as well as always coming up with sick footage, also lay down one of the best commentaries in the game.

This is Thursdays headshot footage and shows some awesome moves including one of the best ref bunkerings EVA!

 Check dis.....

DAILY PUMP

Social paintball seems to be doing a lot for our sport at the minute, including making some sweet little vids. This one was only released today and is there PSP Dallas Part 1 vid. The best thing about that, is  it kinda hints there's as least gonna be a part 2!

It's a lot of cool slow-mo footage which I know some people aren't keen on, but hey, I'll put something more action packed up tomorrow....Kinda makes you want come back!

VOTE NOW!!

Al's hooked us all up with a couple of new votes in the side panel. Lets see who you lot think was the MVP (Most Valuable Player) from the Dallas PSP that took place the other week. Was it Odds on favorite, Ryan Greenspan (Think Al is actually after having his babies right now), or maybe fellow Dynasty players Tyler Harmon or Kyle Spika? Maybe Dynasty don't do it for you and you thought someone like Bryan 'Agent' Smith was a worthy contender after his return to Damage, or you thought J-Rab was back on form considering his slightly underwhelming performance in 2012.

Plus he's also stuck another poll up to see who you all think is gonna take the cake at next months Atlanta PSP. Dynasty are sure to be up their after the showing in Dallas, but could anyone else take it? We all know what a force Heat was last year. Can they bounce back and show the other teams that one semi poor showing doesn't mean they're done. Hows about Damage? They looked real strong, or Impact. With the new superstar team they've built they must be in for a shot. You never know, CEP could even surprise everyone more than they did in Dallas and go all the way!

Lets see what you lot think is ripping and stick a couple of votes down. All for fun like, but at least it gives us all an idea who's getting the love.

CHRIS' PSP MVP PICKS.

Ok, so we've all heard what Al has had to say about the Dallas PSP, and which Dynasty players arses he's tried to climb up. Now it's the turn of ME. Someone who actually knows what they're going on about, and even knows a bit about shooting fools during paintball matches. Something Al has struggled with for years!

Now I know a lot of people are gonna agree with him. Purely because Dynasty won the event it must mean they had the best players, right....... Wrong! I do have to agree that some of the Dynasty dudes played real slick.

Ryan Greenspan is just one of the most consistently awesome ballers out there, and new pick up, Tyler Harmon who they grabbed from XSV, pulled some of the craziest moves of the comp. A gangsta one handed bunker, a 3 on 1 and the move of the tournament.... the patented 'Harmon swan dive cross field shot'! Insane!!!

As good as they where though, I like to see how some of the players on the other teams did considering they didn't actually win the whole thing. The guy that honestly impressed me the most was Justin Rabackoff aka J-Rab! Justin looked like he had a really poor year in 2012 and Damage just didn't seem the right fit for him. Moving to Impact has so far completely turned it around for the dude! He was laying the smack down all over the field. The snake was him and Justin Cornel's playground. He was cutting through the centre and locking off the Doritos and snake from the xbox, and ran in more flags than about anyone else I saw!

The guy was just a crazy stat stackin machine!! Even Federov couldn't hold a candle to his stat grabbing! I can't wait to see where he is when the official stats are released on paintballaccess.com, I've a feeling he's gonna be up there. Definitely top 10 for sure.

Other props go to Osvaldo Brito Neto Lopes (damn that's a name!). I believe that it's his influence that has brought the CEP guys the hunger that they need to turn there loosing streak around. Plus he plays the snake like a baws! Oh, and Ryan Moorhead was pretty impressive considering Impact only played the one PSP last year, he seems to have found his feet on that D-side again in no time.

Anyway I'm sure all you peeps out there have got some of your own ideas, and like Al, your all WRONG!!!!

March 18, 2013

AL'S PSP MVP PICKS.

With my superior knowledge and skills in the paintball game I feel I'm in a good spot to lay down the law on who played their balls off at PSP Dallas this year. No doubt my boy Chris will have something to say about it but hey, who cares.

So, MVP, most valuable player, who do I think shoulda taken the crown? Did Harmoniser deserve it? Probably, he was key to Dynasty's incredible weekend of hard ballin and played his giant ass off...which is the same height as most people's shoulders. That dude is huge!!

Anyway, my picks and why. No real big surprises to be honest and there were so many ballers dishing out the love and I'm gonna have missed something but I don't really care.

1: Ryan Greenspan - San Diego Dynasty
2: Kyle Spicka - San Diego Dynasty

There are more dudes who probably did more damage such as Federov who always shows up to rip and XFactor's Dixon Yang put in a good shift and I already know who Chris has lined up an the dude was a force of nature.

Funny thing is I've never been the world's biggest Dynasty fanboi, even when they exploded onto the scene when we were playing regularly back in the day. Don't know why, I just never really go for the teams who are too super talented, bit of an underdog man, hence the love I got for CEP right now. But, peeps always say Dynasty are old now and all these new teams of super fit ballers with a million abs with biceps on top are ripping things up. But the San Diego boys got their ship in shape and showed everyone that their way of playing, the smooth, aggressive and well thought out way of balling is still world class.

So my props go out to Ryan Greenspan and Kyle Spicka who are at both ends of the Dynasty legacy. One has been there since the start. Super loyal, works his ass off every single point and reads a game like no other, whilst Spicka, the new boy in town shares the same gusto that makes the team great. Both dudes were at the heart of everything that was great about the team in Dallas. Something I'm gonna be keeping a close eye on this year.

Come on Chris, let's have it!!

PSP DALLAS. THE VIEW FROM THE COUCH.

It's over. Done. Finito, but the echoes of insane ballin' will stay with us til the next event I reckon. So what did we think of Dallas? Without going on too much I'll give you my 2p.

Going into the event I wasn't too sure who was gonna do what if I'm honest. My boy Chris had a good idea but I was still pretty undecided. Needless to say we both thought Houston Heat would be smashing fools...but I'm not a huge fan, bit dull.

Thursdays games were awesome. I mean who woulda thought Chattanooga CEP would totally destroy San Antonio XFactor 7-1? We didn't, but I'm a bit of a CEP fanboi, fast and aggressive gutsy paintball that is borderline street fighting. Love it!! Thursday also gave us a sneak peak at the contenders. Edmonton Impact were slick and looking good in their Eclipse gear, Heat also looked good as usual with Federov taking something like 16 kills in one game. Vicious looked better and Dynasty showed us that the new squad had really bonded and looked every bit as effortless as the Dynasty of old. Damage were looking good but didn't really do it for us. Ironmen, looked ok but you could tell this wasn't gonna be their event.

As for strugglers, XSV had a stinker which sucks to see our boy JR Brown having a rough time. One of my favourites, Aftershock, were the whipping boys, as were Thunder. 187 Crew looked good but couldn't finish and Infamous looked hard but were very scrappy...the fact that Todd Martinez had jumped ship as coach may have had a hand in that. Shame.

As the days passed and the teams started to show what they were made of we could see that Dynasty, Heat, Damage, Infamous and Impact would be there or thereabouts, although Impact struggled on the Saturday to really do werk. This was a huge shame because J Rab was destroying fools, which is why Chris thinks he's the events true MVP in his eyes...but more on that argument in another post.

Before we get to finals day, you gotta watch the Dynasty v Infamous game on PBAccess on demand, the BEST final point evva!!

So, final. Dynasty v Damage. Damage started strong and steady but as the minutes played out you could see Dynasty playing like they did 10 years ago. My MVP of choice, Ryan Greenspan pretty much ran the show, along with Kyle Spicka and the Harmoniser. The finals game was worthy of being the final with an awesome klutch point with 3.5 minutes to go which swung things for the San Diego boys.

Summary. I wish I coulda been there. The games were so much better than at Cup but I guess World Cup brings a bucket load of stresses. Awesome coverage by Paintball Access as always, Matty and the boys really have their shit locked down!!

Quote of the event had to be Todd Martinez on Dave 'the Beast' Baines. "If he's looking a little larger than usual its because he's been feasting on Russians all morning." Brilliant!

Let hope the rest of the season can live up to Dallas and well done again to San Diego Dynasty.

Peace.

SD DYNASTY WIN DALLAS.

What a fantastic weekend of top drawer paintball. We'll post a lengthy event review in the next day or so but for now the GFH want to salute our fellow Planet Eclipse boys for their outstanding victory over Damage.

PSP Dallas was an event full of sick paintball and some of the best games we've seen in a long while. The big names showed up to play which makes this victory all the more amazing.

Dynasty played hard, fast and controlled with new boy Kyle Spicka playing solid all weekend. The star of the show though was long standing Dynasty veteran Ryan Greenspan who played the wheels off every position, from back to mid, snake, 50 centre, breaking and closing. He was amazing.

So, hats off, thumbs up and here's to what looks like a Dynasty at the top of their game.

Full Pro results (that's all we really care about):

1: San Diego Dynasty
2: Tampa Bay Damage
3: LA Infamous
